Remote Operations Center

Our 24/7 Remote Operations Centre acts as the NERC registered Generator Operator (GOP) for your project and is staffed by experienced energy market professionals who manage the day-to-day physical operations of your facility. Our team serves as your primary point of contact, handling everything from routine operations to emergency response, including, but not limited to:

  • Trip investigation and incident response
  • Remote breaker operations and manual facility control
  • Utility and emergency response coordination

Monitoring

Live visibility into battery state of charge, availability, and equipment status keeps our operations team continuously informed of actual site conditions, eliminating the information gap between physical operations and commercial strategy. This real-time connection enables:

  • Early detection of issues before they impact performance or revenue
  • Centralized view across batteries and balance of plant equipment
  • Dynamic adjustment of market offers based on live facility data, with more accurate day-ahead and real-time scheduling
  • Streamlined market operation decision making

Integration

Connected to your BESS via our SCADA and integration platform, our systems support two-way communication for dispatch signals, status monitoring, and real-time data exchange using standard industrial protocols. Our system is designed to accommodate:

  • A wide range of battery OEMs and system integrators
  • DNP3 or Modbus communication over a secure VPN connection
  • Both Workbench-managed and customer-managed onsite infrastructure
  • Read-only access for owners managing IESO dispatch directly

Performance Reporting

Structured reporting keeps asset owners fully informed and supports data-driven decision making throughout the life of the facility. Reporting includes:

  • Monthly operations reports available by the 15th of the following month
  • Annual report summarizing facility performance, operational efficiency, off-taker contract compliance, system operator compliance, maintenance activities, and any incidents
  • Monthly meetings to review performance, address concerns, and plan upcoming operational needs
