On-Site Gateway
For projects requiring a fully managed integration, Workbench supplies and installs dedicated gateway hardware at your facility, allowing our team to manage the connections between your site and our cloud platform. This connection provides:
- Workbench-supplied and managed gateway hardware
- NERC CIP-compliant integration
- Local data storage and aggregation to reduce bandwidth requirements
- Redundant configurations available for added resilience
Remote Data Transfer
Where the customer manages onsite infrastructure, we connect to a customer-supplied RTU via a secure VPN tunnel, configured with all necessary datapoints. Key features include:
- Two-way communication via DNP3 or Modbus over secure VPN
- Minimum required signals: site status, battery system status, state of charge, max charge/discharge rates, and real-time power data
- Read-only access to Workbench for tracking, alerting and managing operating schedule
